New York City-based band Toys in Trouble is a high-energy trio influenced by fun rock, punk and The Muppets. Band members, Jim Twerell (vocals, guitar), Kevin Bova (vocals, bass) and Dave Appelman (drums), have played in various music groups for years before forming Toys in Trouble in 2005.
Produced by Don Fury (Sonic Youth, Helmet, Quicksand), their self-released debut album "One-Armed Jack" contains the charisma of their live shows and has also been featured on dozens of East Coast college radios as well as several motion picture soundtracks. The New York Times calls the album “Chromosomal Rock! A stimulation that is so rare in the music industry these days.”
Toys in Trouble has opened for various underground artists such as Le Sans Culottes and Trick & the Heartstrings.
Their web site has gained recognition for its music, videos, games, and interactive menus.
